Therapeutic Approaches

Along with offering clinical hypnotherapy, counselling, and Quit Smoking Hypnosis , I offer a range of trusted and clinically proven psychotherapy interventions to clients. When you are looking for a therapist, it is important to find someone who uses a therapeutic approach that suits you.

I know that every client is unique, which is why I am able to use a blend of different therapeutic methodologies to meet the
different needs of each client. Therapy is not a “one size fits all” situation, and so during our first session I will get to know your needs and what I think will best suit you.

Neurolinguistic Programming

Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) encompasses a wide variety of behavioural techniques designed to positively change how my client’s experience their lives. NLP operates through the conscious use of language to detect and modify unconscious biases or limitations.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a structured, collaborative approach in which I work together with my client’s to change their negative thoughts. CBT has proven success on a range of problems from non-clinical depression and anxiety to guilt, self-esteem, emotional and relationship problems.

Thought Field Therapy

Thought Field Therapy (TFT) is an effective treatment that taps into part of the brain where unwanted feelings are stored. This simple self healing technique works to disconnect the painful emotion from the relevant image or memory, allowing my client to effectively manage their own emotional states.

At Abbeycare Hypnotherapy & Counselling, I offer person-centred therapy and a range of trusted and proven clinical interventions for all my clients.

My first meeting with a client consists of an in-depth counseling session to discover their particular situation, and what they want to achieve from therapy.
Based on this information, I can then decide on the appropriate therapeutic approach for the client.

Because each client is dealing with different problems, I believe it is important for me to be able to select from a range of clinically proven therapeutic interventions to address their situations.

  • What type of therapy is the best?

There is no straight-forward answer to this as it all depends on the client. This is why it is important for me to be able to use different methods and techniques, to help you the most that I can.
